Details: This 1959 booklet contains information about joining the British Regular Army. It was created for H.M. Stationery Office and produced by The War Office and The Central Office of Information (COI). This copy was distributed by an Army Recruiting Office in Ipswich.

The artwork is uncredited but Reginald Mount (1906-1979) was responsible for a lot of the COI’s posters during the 1950s and 60s, both on his own and with Eileen Evans (1921-2006) as Mount/Evans. It is possible that Mount was involved in creating this artwork, given the similarity of details with other examples of his work (particularly the quality of the line work, as well as the way he drew creases in clothes).
